Tasting- Yellow Tail Cabernet Merlot

Name: Yellow Tail Cabernet Merlot
Variety: 60% Cabernet, 40% Merlot
Region: Casella
Country: Australia
Year: 2014
Price: $10, Sale: $5
Vintage Cellar Review: A classic blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium-bodied and very approachable with soft tannins. Fruit-forward flavors of plum, cherry and blackberry are accented by notes of spice with more juicy berries on the finish.

My Review:  This was a nice Yellow Tail wine that reminded me of the Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a dark red and smelled like a batch of raspberries. The alcohol could be detecte din the aroma and slightly in the flavor. The after taste had more cherry notes that finished with a bit of spice and tartness.

Tasting- Be. Bright Pinot Grigio

Name: Be. Bright Pinot Grigio
Variety: Pinot Grigio
Region/ Country: California
Year: 2013
Price: $10, Sale: $6
Vintage Cellar Review: This effortless Pinot Grigio keeps things light, with sun-ripened citrus flavors and a crisp, fresh finish. An instant taste of optimism, perfect for setting a carefree mood at any occasion. Serve chilled for total deliciousness.

My Review:  This wine smelled like a freshly picked pear which was a delight. The sweetness really came through in this very pale yellow colored wine. This had an earthy mid palate extending to a long citrusy and sweet after taste. This wine had hardly any alcohol in the taste and went to the back of the mouth very smoothly.

Tasting- Dynamite Sauvignon Blanc

Name: Dynamite Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Lake County
State: California
Year: 2012
Price: $13, Sale: $6
Vintage Cellar Review: Melon, green apple and citrus flavors are lively and refreshing, with a spicy, floral nuance.

My Review: This pale yellow wine had a nice aroma. The strong buttery smell was complimented nicely with a touch of citrus. There was a quick mid palate that transitioned to a bitter alcohol flavored taste. The after taste resembled a tart wine which lacked the balance I’d have like to have seen.
