Expert Review: This ruby-colored wine has aromas of raspberry, cherry and
a hint of vanilla. Flavors of cherry and plum lead to a soft velvety finish. This wine can be enjoyed by itself. It is also an excellent
accompaniment with Brie, goat cheese and smoked salmon. Lamb shanks and pork
tenderloin are a favorite main dishes to pair with this wine.
My Review: This wine was ruby in color. The aroma wasn’t
pleasant giving off smells of leather and moldiness. The smell also reminded me
of moldy sour fruit. The taste was dry with raspberry as a strong component. The
earthiness of the wine was also present. This wine was medium bodied.
Food: This wine was tasted with no food due to tasting it at
the Vintage Cellar.
