Tasting- Gnarly Head Pinot Noir

Name: Gnarly Head Pinot Noir

Critic Review: This Pinot Noir has voluptuous, sleek tannins and lush fruit with aromas and flavors of violet, black cherry and plum with hints of toasted oak, cigar box, earth and spice. Round up some friends, break out a bottle of Gnarly Pinot Noir and enjoy with grilled salmon, glazed pork ribs or roast turkey.”- wine.com

My Review: This 13.8% alcohol wine wasn’t my favorite. It was a medium bodied red wine with a slightly red translucent color. Initially, I tasted cherry but going into the aftertaste, I really noticed the alcohol flavor coming through. This was not a very well balanced wine which was disappointing. It also had a dryer feel than other wines. Overall, I’d wouldn’t buy this wine again.

Food: This wine was tasted with no food.
